Odorant Technician Role

The Role

We are currently looking for Entry Level and Experienced Odorant Technicians to join the Tansley Odorant Division in our Bowden Warehouse. Not sure what odorant is? Don't worry! This is not a limiting factor. Odorant or Mercaptan or Ethyl Mercaptan is also known as methanethiol and is a harmless but pungent-smelling gas which has been described as having the stench of rotting cabbages or smelly socks. It is often added to natural gas or propane, which is colorless and odorless, to make it easier to detect.

Upon becoming a Tansley Associate Odorant Technician, you will already be a one-of-a-kind service technician in the Oil and Gas industry. We will train you on industry and regulatory requirements for natural gas and propane odorization.
